An Australian electronic-signature platform aligned with the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth). It began as a proof of concept for one accounting practice and is now a commercial product used by practices across Australia, live at siggy.com.au.
Siggy was never planned as a product. It started as a proof of concept for a single Australian accounting practice that wanted signing software honest about its compliance posture, respectful of client privacy, and priced for the volume a practice actually sends. We built it on the principles we apply to every engagement: explicit alignment with the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth), an append-only audit log, a tamper-evident seal and completion certificate on every envelope, and no account required to sign.
The practice used it, then others asked for it. Those principles and the engineering behind them are why Siggy found its own market. Today it is a commercial Ontology Analytics product with a free tier and paid plans, identity checks and SMS delivery as add-ons, used by accountants, brokers and NDIS providers across Australia. Built in Canberra, hosted in Sydney. It is the clearest example of what Axiom Data stands for: we build the thing, we ship it, and it has to work in the real world.
Australian accounting firms, conveyancers, and small businesses rely on overseas e-signature platforms that are expensive, opaque about their compliance posture, and built for global enterprise rather than local needs. Per-envelope pricing punishes the high-volume, low-margin signing patterns common in professional services. Signer experience is often gated behind account creation, blocking completion at the worst possible moment.
Siggy is a lean e-signature platform explicitly aligned to the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth). Senders upload PDFs, place fields per recipient, route the envelope, and recipients sign without creating an account. The completed PDF is cryptographically sealed and bundled with a completion certificate that documents the exact method of signing — not a vague "legally binding" claim. Single-tenant ready today, multi-tenant-ready under the hood.
Siggy is explicit about what it does and doesn't claim. The platform aligns to the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and documents the method of signing on every completion certificate — rather than asserting that a document is "legally binding," a claim no software can make. The append-only audit log is sacred: signature, viewing, declining, even agent identification are captured immutably. No account is required to sign — friction at the moment of completion is the single biggest reason envelopes get abandoned, and Siggy removes it.
Built single-tenant for an Australian accounting practice as the design partner, Siggy is now multi-tenant and commercial. Practices sign up at siggy.com.au, start on a free tier of five envelopes a month, and move to paid plans from $10 a month, with identity checks and SMS delivery as pay-as-you-go add-ons. Signers complete on their phone without an account, every completed document carries a tamper-evident seal and a completion certificate, and data stays on Australian infrastructure in Sydney. It gives Australian practices an auditable, locally aligned alternative to offshore platforms without per-envelope pricing pressure.
